They also know about protecting it, by using sustainable and nontoxic materials like Canadian Maple, organic hemp seed oil and Okanagan beeswax to make their solid wooden pieces. The plates require some TLC to ensure they last, but it’s worth a little elbow grease to rest easy that the plates won’t leach harmful chemicals into your child’s food or the environment. Timber Child also craft the good old fashion kind of wooden games and puzzles, and can even personalise pieces for special occasions. If you think the plates are too nice to eat from, they also make great wall features, storage trays and platters for grown up woodchucks.
